Complete renovation of an apartment located in Paris, near Parc Monceau

Located in an exceptional setting just a stone's throw from Parc Monceau, this apartment deserved some attention. The layout was therefore extensively redesigned. While the most significant change was the relocation of the kitchen, it is in the small details that the project really comes into its own. Curved openings, moldings, woodwork - we carried out a major reinterpretation and creation project. This work has added a touch of nobility to the period structures. We have therefore worked in the spirit of a high-quality renovation, based on noble materials and classic Parisian forms.

The apartment is organized around a fairly wide hallway, which distributes spaces on either side. We decided to integrate the kitchen into the former dining room. This was a small technical challenge, but it changed the entire flow of light! Now, cooking is done in a very bright space. The kitchen is separated by a wooden arch that we designed, as was the opening to the living room. These curves are inspired by the existing windows, which are typical of Haussmann-style buildings.

Details : the key feature of this interior

Let's take a moment to talk about details. They are an important part of our work, perhaps the most important part. And they are something that is felt more than seen. For this apartment, a great deal of work was done on the moldings, stonework, and carpentry. We incorporated a stained-glass window into the living room to take advantage of the light coming in from the courtyard. It was installed in a thermally efficient window, but with its original espagnolette lock, which was restored. Comfort without compromising on aesthetics!

The woodwork in both the living room and dining room was designed by us. We reinforced the very classic style, which creates a showcase for contemporary furniture.

A completely redesigned sleeping area

The sleeping area has been completely transformed. The spaces were quite cramped, and moving the kitchen freed up space to create a proper laundry room. The space gained allowed for the creation of spacious bedrooms with ergonomic layouts. Each bedroom has its own style with its own colors and details.
