- Paris in the Details -
Located just steps from Parc Monceau, this apartment sits in an exceptional setting—and it deserved the attention to match. The layout was significantly reworked. While the most noticeable transformation was the relocation of the kitchen, the essence of this project lies in the details. Curved openings, moldings, custom woodwork: we undertook a thoughtful process of reinterpretation and creation. These interventions brought a sense of nobility to the original structure.
The apartment is organized around a fairly wide hallway, which distributes the various rooms on either side. We chose to install the kitchen in the former dining room—technically challenging, but a decision that completely changed the flow of natural light. Cooking now happens in a bright, open space. The kitchen is separated by a custom-designed arched opening, just like the new passage to the living room. These curves were inspired by the apartment’s existing Haussmann-style windows.
Let’s take a moment to talk about the details—because in our work, they are not only important; they are everything. They are often felt more than seen. In this apartment, we carried out extensive work on moldings, stone, and custom millwork. A stained-glass panel was integrated along the axis of the living room, allowing light from the courtyard to filter in. It was installed in front of a high-performance thermal window, preserving the original cremone bolt, which was carefully restored. Comfort, without compromising on aesthetics.
The cabinetry and wall paneling in the living and dining rooms were entirely custom-designed. We leaned into a strong classical style, creating an elegant backdrop for contemporary furniture.
One particular photo perfectly captures the balance: traditional paneling, moldings, and openings brought into the present day through clean architectural lines, lighting, and modern furnishings.
The night area was also completely restructured. The original spaces were quite cramped, but relocating the kitchen freed up room for a proper laundry area. The space gained allowed for the creation of generously sized bedrooms with fluid, ergonomic circulation.
Let's bring your space to life.
