Naturally Parisian

A timeless Parisian apartment, reimagined with natural elegance and modern comfort — the signature of Véronique Cotrel’s interior design approach.

The project

In the heart of Paris's Left Bank, this classic Haussmannian apartment has been meticulously restored to its former glory. Led by interior architect Véronique Cotrel, the renovation blends historical charm with contemporary comfort, creating a space that feels both timeless and inviting.

A Parisian Classic: The Parquet Floor

The original herringbone parquet, once in disrepair, was replaced to enhance both thermal and acoustic insulation. Using natural materials like gypsum-based panels, the new flooring offers a serene ambiance, as if it had always been part of the home.

Windows were entirely replaced with wooden frames, preserving the apartment's authentic character. Original hardware was carefully restored, showcasing the craftsmanship synonymous with Parisian architecture.

The dining room, adjacent to the kitchen, features bold, dark tones—a nod to traditional palettes—framed to create a visual masterpiece visible from the living area. The master suite, accessible from both the entrance and living room, boasts a custom upholstered headboard and a sliding door leading to a refined en-suite bathroom.

The Children's Area

Children's quarters include two bedrooms and a shared bathroom, thoughtfully designed with alcoves that provide elegant storage solutions.

This project exemplifies the expertise of interior design professionals in New York and Paris, blending classic aesthetics with modern functionality. For those seeking an interior architect in New York who appreciates Parisian elegance, Véronique Cotrel's work serves as a benchmark in the field.

Let's bring your space to life.
