After considering moving out, our client ultimately chose to keep her family apartment—but with a complete reinvention. Its location, natural light, and intrinsic charm made it hard to leave. Still, major improvements were possible. One of the most significant was the opening of a load-bearing wall that once separated the living room from the entry. This intervention allowed light to flood all the way through to the kitchen.
As in all our interior design projects—whether in Paris or New York—our agency handled every aspect: structural engineers, co-op board presentations, permit applications, and all the behind-the-scenes steps that are essential to a successful renovation.
And it was well worth it.
The removal of that wall opened the door to a generous, richly toned kitchen that now connects effortlessly with the living spaces. It acts as a bridge between the daytime and evening zones, balancing openness and intimacy.
The private quarters were just as thoughtfully reimagined. We created three distinct suites, each tailored to the personality and needs of its occupant. In the master bedroom, a stunning tapestry dresses the wall, turning the space into a cocoon of softness and serenity.
This refined and functional transformation reflects the studio's signature approach to interior architecture—timeless, elegant, and adapted to each context, from Parisian family apartments to high-end residences in New York.
Let's bring your space to life.
